- We will never install a new roof over your old roof! It’s impossible to tell if there is rotting or damaged plywood to your roof deck without taking off your existing roof. Rot and leakage spreads, and this would eventually damage your new roof as well. Plus, some manufacturers won’t offer full warranty on a roof that is placed over top of an existing roof. Completely replacing the roof ensures your safety and security, both physically and financially.
- A roof needs proper attic ventilation. Ventilation helps moisture and hot air escape, which then prevents leakage, mold, and mildew. Part of our process is to make sure your roof has proper ventilation.
- You do not need to be home while we install a roof! We do ask that homeowners are present while we tear off the roof, just in case we find high risk areas and need to speak with you. We don’t make any decisions without your permission, so quick communication is key. We usually finish this process by about 9:30am, so if you need to get to work after that, feel free.
- At DMB, when we start a job, we usually stay until it’s done. Our roof installation process can be finished in a day, so you’re back under your roof – literally! – by dinnertime.
